Plasmas are gases that have been electrically charged. In general this means that the gases can be charged with Electromagnetic waves and turned into a plasma. This create some very strange interactions when it comes to these phases. Such as lightning, as energy accumulates the gas gets charged and releases that charge.
Plasmas Importance
Without plasma there would be no life. This is because Plasma helps create Electromagnetic waves and also is what makes every star in the universe. Without plasma there would be no energy on Earth. Plasma is required for living things to live and the sun is just one of many ways that it helps us live our lives.
