A Little About Me
I was born in San Diego, California. My family moved to Idaho when I was four and we have not looked back since. I grew up going to Silver Sage Elementary then I went to Lake Hazel Middle School. This is where I first pursued coding. The first time I can say I actually coded was using Minecraft command blocks to make a little math quiz in 6th grade. Then Covid hit which interrupted my ability to attend school in person until 7th grade. 7th grade I had decided to take some basic HTML and CSS classes. Websites were the logical next step from making small games in Scratch and Minecraft. I proceeded to learn some basic web development in this class but the knowledge wasn't extensive. I then decided to continue pursuing a coding path at Meridian Technical Charter High School. This is when I started to love coding and got to indulge in my first behind the scenes coding language. Python! This was my first real coding language and soon after developed skills in JavaScript, Java, PHP, and MYSQL.
Some of My Skills
As I said previously I have learned the basics of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MYSQL, Java. However, I wouldn't call myself proficient with them but I have used them. Python, C#, TypeScript, and React. I am currently learning about React and more things on Reactive websites I have used Github Pages to create a website with my own domain that is hosted for a volunteer project. Other things include being a good manager of other people, having some artistic capabilites, and being able to find solutions to problems that I come accross in code. I currently have a 4.0 cumulative GPA for the entirety of High School. Additionally Meridian Technical Charter High School has mandatory assignments and or classes with collaboration, workplace ethics, and business.
Ambitions
I have ambitions to join the tech industry and rise up. I plan on going to college to pursue a degree in Computer Science. I also would like to pursue getting a certification as a reactive web dev including the use of react, php, mysql, database management, and typescript. Currently I am using FreeCodeCamp to explore these coding possibilites. However with that I am also trying to learn more on the subject. I have aspiration to be a hobbyist indie game dev which requires me to learn more Unity or Unreal engine. At the current point however I am looking for an internship that will allow me to get acquainted with the field better.
